Andrew and Emma and the rest of their family, aim to introduce curious strangers to the Somerset countryside with a warm embrace. Their hospitality means they’re always on hand to welcome you to Dimpsey and provide extensive knowledge of country walks, pubs and activities in the area.
The Pizza Oven
It's a beautiful thing when we can get back to nature and communally create a meal using the basics. The wood-fired pizza oven creates an inclusive dining ritual, forget blokes crowded around the bbq, homemade pizza takes a team.
A luxury retreat full of country magic based on the Blackdown Hills in Somerset. Made locally by renowned shepherd hut makers, Blackdown shepherd huts, the two huts at Dimpsey have been designed to be aesthetically pleasing, with the interiors having a simplicity and attention to detail that enchants all who stay there.
The tranquillity and peace afforded by the location, combined with the comfort of the shepherd huts lends itself to a complete retreat experience. However, should you choose to venture out, the Jurassic coast and hix oyster & fish house at Lyme Regis beckon, with river cottage en-route and other excellent eateries recommended by the owners. Each shepherd hut has its own woodfired hot tub and unique location, with firepits and log burners only adding to this rustic luxury experience.
